Lightbulb Audio Upgrade

Hey everyone.

I'm new to the world of MINI and just dove in with a 2013 Cooper S Paceman. Love it from tip to toe but have one question.

I got a great deal on a demo. Sport package, premium package and Nav, but no premium sound. I was wondering if anyone had any information on or could point me to a place to look about upgrading the audio in the car with minimal impact as I like the stock look of the car.

Any advice is welcomed and appreciated.

a bit late, but I heard that if you swap the rear and front channels in the fuse box... it helps with more bass ...

been thinking of doing a JL CleanSweep install for me... =)

I did something almost the same (same speakers) as this upgrade on my CM, the difference is I also did the back doors. Should work on the Paceman and it sounds a lot better than the HK system.

Dead thread revival time again.

I've been hunting high and low and I cannot find this info anywhere, so my apologies if this has already been covered. Where are all the speakers located in the Paceman with the base sound system? And what sizes are they? There's a nice thread about replacement speakers in the Countryman forum, which got me to thinking about maybe upgrading mine. But I cannot find a shred of info (here or anywhere else on the interwebz) on what's in it.

Thanks!

I believe there the front door speakers are 4" drivers and there is also a 6.5" driver under each seat.

the rear speakers I believe are also 4" drivers but I have no clue how to get access to them without tearing out the entire rear...

Here's what I'm running:

SPEAKER AMP: Rockford Fosgate Punch P200.2 - $125
SUB AMP: Rockford Fosgate Punch P300.1 - $120
SUB: Rockford Fosgate P2D4-12 (400W RMS) - $84
FUSES: 50 AMP ANL - $cheap
WIRE: 4 Gauge Stinger Amp Kit, Stinger 8 Gauge Amp Kit, Stinger Distribution Block - $150 total
SPEAKERS: Rockford Fosgate P142 (front and rear sets) - $50/each set
LINE CONVERTER: RF-HLC (2-Channel) - $20

Total: ~$600

At the time I built the system, I didn't realize that I had speakers under my seats. So those will have to go in later...

Hope this helps...
