Cold start issue on Mini Cooper Countryman R60 1.6 S (2015, 90k km)
Hi everyone,
I own a 2015 Mini Cooper Countryman R60 1.6 S with 55,000 miles on it. When I start the car in the morning, I sometimes hear a "coughing-like" sound and the RPM fluctuates for about 20 seconds. After that, everything goes back to normal and the car runs fine. In the next maintenance I was thinking to change coils and spark plugs. Is it related with that issue ?
Has anyone experienced something similar? What could be the possible cause?
Thanks in advance!

When they're cold, these engines are definitely not operating at their best (not that any engine does, but these in particular can be quite noisy).
What's the situation maintenance-wise? Timing chain done, for example?
Can you record a video of the symptom to help us understand?
