Old gas
Old gas
I unexpectedly had to park my 2015 R61 for 5 months so wanted to pump out the some of the old gas/add new before starting. While hooking up battery charger I heard some clicking from under the hood for a few seconds, not sure if this is related but wanted to include all info. I then removed air box and attached a hose that fit perfectly over the low pressure fuel line. I then turned the motor over twice for approximately 5 seconds each time, no fuel came out. Its my understanding that the high pressure side is mechanical and the low pressure is electric from the tank.
Did I not turn the car over long enough?
Can turning over the high pressure pump w/o fuel damage it?
The fuse is good, can I check the relay and see if its good or not?
Is there a pressure sensor that trips the relay?
Any suggestions on how to trouble shoot this would be greatly appreciated!
