P173b code w/o CEL after thermostat housing upgrade
2012 Countryman S ALL4
I replaced the thermostat housing with the new version that incorporates the coolant temperature sensor, replaced the top radiator hose with the one that deletes the stock temperature sensor, and replaced the wiring harness adaptor to connect to the new thermostat/coolant temperature sensor plugs.
I am still seeing a P173b fault code on my scanner but there is not a CEL. The engine temperature is being read accurately and seems to be normal. It does not get above 220ish while driving hard.
Any idea, where to start troubleshooting?

It seems this was an issue with the Torque OBD-II scanner app I was using. I downloaded a BMW/Mini specific app (BimmerLink) and was able to clear the temp sensor error and it has not returned since. I believe the original error was leftover from before I changed it and Torque would not clear it.
