Check Engine Oil Pressure?

Recently I got my car back after it got repaired at a collision shop. Only things they fixed were cosmetic and none of the damage went near the engine. Well the first day I get it back I have to brake hard to avoid hitting a car. Right as I braked hard a Check Engine Oil Pressure light came on and it said to turn off the car and call the dealer. I turned the car off gave it a couple minutes and checked the oil. It was at a fine level and nothing was leaking out the bottom. Have drove it since with no problems that I am aware of.
1. is this a serious problem/ something I can’t see is wrong?
2. Why would me braking activate this light?
thank you all for your help

check the vacuum line connection to the pump or the brake booster.

Is there anyway you could tell me where those parts are? Or somewhere I can find a diagram. Am I just checking to see if they’re loose?

the vacuum pump is connected on the right front side of the cylinder head. there is a hard plastic line runs to the back. make sure it is tight on both ends.

The oil pressure light might be unrelated to that hose, but the oil pressure sensor is mounted in the front of the oil filter housing. it's not easy to see without moving hosing around.

also, if you have a mini/bmw obd reader, check for codes even if there is no check engine light.

For what it is worth, it will pay itself in the first or second use There are few vendors here who sell them. I personally have a laptop setup for my mini diag/coding/programming needs. schwaben is a hand held. ISTAD is a computer based program.

Ok and again thank you so much for your help, I’m not very mechanically inclined so I do appreciate the free help.

Easy to use the schwaben one as its an all and one and does not need a laptop. I just used mine the other day to check a engine light.

(Update)
My mechanic said that minis are prone to running low on oil. If my car was low on oil when I stopped that would cause all the oil to go forward and result in there being none to suck up. He said this is most likely the cause of the low oil pressure warning and the reason it happened then. And why I haven’t had any problems with it since.
