Where is the starter motor in my 2012 R60 All4

Car was parked for 2 weeks.
When trying to start..all light, radio..ect work but pushing button to start the car only made some small electronic clicks (relays) and buzz/hum but engine wont start. Tested battery, it was low. Charged it. Still wont start (same results)
Attempts just drained battery again. Phisically checked battery, half the cells were almost empty. Clearly it wasnt in good shape.
Replaced battery, same result - now battery lower than 12.6v due to attempts to start.
so...i can charge this good battery back up...but need to LOCATE the STARTER MOTOR to look for corrosion...and maybe wack it a bit to see if i can get a start (after charging the battery).

Cant find ANYTHING online regarding the R60 starter!

Please help? Where is it located?

Starter is attached to the engine.... Did you register the new battery? That is the likely culprit.

Im not equipped with an IBS. So that rules that out.

Attached to the engine... I've worked on my vehicles before. Not a newbie. To be more precise..I was inquiry as to where exactly. Accessible from the bottom or top?
I couldnt slide far enough under to check the front properly...
