Hello all,
Just saw that my front driver side strut mount is starting to crack so I’m planning to replace it. Wanted to ask the experiences people here if I should stick with Mini or is aftermarket good enough given they’re a quarter of the OEM price. Also is it totally necessary to take off the spring or can I replace it with the spring still attached on the car. Thanks!

 

you have to take the strut out and compress the springs .. also will need an alignment after... BTW you should do both sides, I highly recommend doing the struts at the same time as you are in there anyway
