Hi all,

Tried to locate a thread on this but couldn't narrow search down enough I guess. I broke the button off my gear shifter and need to replace it. My dealership is telling me they can only order and replace the whole assembly to a tune of 1100.00. Thats just crazy. I found just the shifter **** and rod online for about 100.00. I also found videos and attempted to try and get the **** off before ordering the part. The video shows placing it in drive and pulling up on the ****. I don't think that I'm that much of a weakling but I couldn't get it to come off? Should I be able to? I couldn't find videos specific to the paceman. There's no way I'm paying that much because of a broken cheap plastic part.
