check engine light and rough starts

So a few weeks ago I left my 2011 Countryman S idling and when I returned the check engine light was on (picture of engine colored in halfway) Definitely was not running at full power but not in a limp mode. Anyway after getting home and letting the car sit, I started it and it was fine and the light turned off. Several days later it happened again and I plugged in a basic code reader and it showed a P0015 code. I ended up changing the camshaft angle sensor and the code cleared and ran well for over 800 miles. Now it just started starting rough and even stalling upon start up and the check engine will come on. If i turn it off and start it back up its usually fine? anyone have any suggestions or similar problems. Ive only had it for a few months the car is in great shape, just hit 60,000 miles. I had an oil change before the issues began and Ive checked the oil and the levels are good and they claimed to have used synthetic oil.

Vanos solenoids, have they been checked? If they are original they probably should be changed out. If they are gunked up with oil, you can clean them but will probably need to change them out eventually. We also did an engine oil flush because mine were full of crud.

Cleaned the vanos solenoid on the front of the motor and ordered a new one. So far no check engine light or rough starts. Fingers crossed! Thanks for the advise
