Check Engine Light Rough Idle/Drive After CAI Install

Hi guys,

Need some help or suggestions. I have a 2002 r53. I purchased a CAI as a Christmas present to myself. I installed it this morning. I completed the install and went for a drive. After a few minutes, the check engine light came on and the car began to idle and drive very roughly. I purchased some cleaner for the MAP sensor, but that did not seem to help. I would appreciate and thoughts or suggestions at this point.

What code is it throwing, I'd start by clearing the code and give the car a few more drives, the ECU may simply be adjusting to the change. Just make sure you let the car sit for at least 5 min after driving, to let any adaptations set.

Drove it to the parts shop so they could tell me the diagnostic codes. They gave me:

P0108
P1226
P1229

Went to start the car back up to drive home. Wouldn't start. Battery was fine, wouldn't jump. Tried push starting it, wouldn't go. Had to call a tow truck. It's now at the shop.

Sounds like there's something going on with the Throttle Body, with the MAP sensor code also, you may have damaged or loosened the plastic line to the MAP sensor from the Throttle Body.
