Hi, I got the JB+ plug and play installed in my Mini (R60) and as soon as I started the car I got a check engine light, I decided to give it some time and about 2 weeks have passed and I still have the check engine light, car is fine, I don't feel anything wrong rather than the extra power im getting from the JB+. Why do I have the check engine light on and how can i clear it? Btw. I have a NM Engineering intake on my car too. I appreciate your help guys.

 

How many miles on the car? The first thing you get when you tune is weaknesses show up. It's probably a spark plug or coil that is causing a misfire. Get your car scanned to find out WHAT the code is.

 

I recall that some people had this issue, search on here for it or contact Berger tuning.

 

did you 'sleep' the car before installing the JB+? Do you have keyless entry (which would prevent the car from going to sleep)? Have the code read and hopefully reset.

 

Where did you buy the JB from? I know there was a bunch of "fake" JB sold on EBay, that gave Check Engine lights

My mechanic installed it and I bet he followed instructions

 

Try cleaning the MAF sensor and check for loose intake hoses/clamps

 

I'm having similar troubles. Just had wireing harness in cylyders 2 and 4 as a result of the codes. On the way to the shop I took off the JB+ and the engine lights came off. They were able to pull the last codes thrown. Installed a brand new JB+ after getting it back after the correct reset instructions and now get acceleration hiccups after 3000rpms. Slight but very noticeable. What was your fix?
