My 2013 windshield has cracked. I thought nothing of it even though there's no stone chip or damage to the glass. I figured I'd just get it replaced. But then I started see a few other Countryman's with cracked glass happening.

So, my question to you all is this, and I know this a bit out there with where I'm going on this!! Is your front windshield cracking for no apparent reason?

 

I know there was a windshield issue with the older MINI's and even a lawsuit about it. Might be something to check with the dealership and see what they have to say since it's still a newer car.

Do the pen check, run a pen down the crack and see it you feel a stop , sometimes the crack is so small you cant see it on the line. With older MINI it was being upright and forward on the glass, the Countryman , it does not happen as much.

Ask me how I know I had 5 windshields replaced on the R52 MINI. On earlier MINIs also it was because of the way the glass was set in the factory or the Betalink they used on the frame under flex it would sometimes crack.
