Found a Fluid leak!!

Well I was out this weekend and had my car parked on my brother driveway, and when I left he called me and said that my MINI might have a leak and it doesn't look like a/c condensation.

So i kept an eye on it and it looked like it was leaking something that is not drying up. Not a very fast leak but seems like only after i drive and park. needless to say I dropped off EggMINI to the dealer to get it checked out. Of course it was an immediate drop off at the dealer, so no rental available. I guess i will found out what the issue is soon.

Well they contacted me and said that the regular service items were completed but they are watining on some part to complete the repair. I asked what the issues were and he told me the Timing Chain Tensioner Pulley needed to be replaced and also that my vehicle needed to get the cooling system recall.

I will have to get the final paper work to get more info. As far as I know EggMINI was built in April 2011, so was not supposed to be part of the original recall, maybe i was wrong.

I will post once i see what the Service report says, so it hopefully has more detail about the issue.

Mine had a leak as well and it ended up being the rear transaxle even though the driveway spot was under the front of the car. Keep an eye on it.

The temperature sensor recall applies to all R60s built from 2010 through March of 2012.
