iOS notifications in Connected..what am I doing wrong?

Life is finally cooling down for me, so now I can let the little things get under my skin. I KNOW i've seen an iOS notification pop up on my Connected screen before (missed call, i believe) but never again and I don't know why. I'm all up to date with iOS5, iPhone 4s, and current mini App all patched through the factory Y cable (and word on the fully functioning arm rest holder yet?). I'm stumped and willing to figure this one out. Anyone want to point out the simple stupid thing I must be overlooking?

M

This is unscientific and only my own observations, but I have not seen an iOS notification SINCE I've upgraded to iOS5.

I used to see them quite regularly before that...

Any other theories?

hmmmm...."used to see 'em all the time"... wish i could say that! haha...you use the Y cable also? Did they only appear while in the connected display, or as long as the app was running on connected phone. Just trying to chase this one down....

Thanks!

Yep, I use the Y-Cable.

I believe I only saw them when using the "plugin" (iPod Out) feature within Connected...

I wish they would get this worked out. And also give drivers the ability to respond to text messages through connected. Just some simple preset responses would be great like, 'I'm driving right now, I'll get back to you on that.', or 'ok', or 'on my way', or whatever.

Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to implement.

Man, I was looking for some info on the same deal. I personally have never seen the notifications as I just received my MCS last month but I seen a video of it working! It's about 7 secs into this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yFDm...layer_embedded

I had no luck finding anything on the mini site nor the mini connected manual.

That's not what it looks like. What you see at 7 secs in that video is "office" functionality that is not fully functional across all phone types.

The notifications that I've been talking about look exactly like the blue balloon/bubble notifications you'd get on your iOS screen. Kind of like this:

My understanding is that office has not been enabled for iOS devices, or most smartphones out there. There is a handful of blackberries that it does work for though.
