Stupid Handbrake

Just scared the pee out of myself

Handbrake on (Did not leave in gear)

Hopped out to wipe down wheels as trying out new wheel cleaning product to try and limit the dreaded brake dust build up. Whilst cleaning wheels heard brakes groaning . Went to jump back in the car and it let go completely had to jump in to jam the brakes on

I have had the handbrake adjusted at the dealer but I felt they did not do anything to improve it, and I was right - It almost caused major damage as my door which was open almost clouted the lamp post - Bloody annoying!!!!

So to my question, anyone else have an ineffectual handbrake ?

Scary!

No problems with my MINIs hb, but I have learned never to fully trust the handbrake (had problems with my Honda's).

But still, occasionally I do rely on it - but I probably should rethink that idea.
