Cannot crack the windows slightly; we can only adjust the windows to a minimum of say 3”. Neither my wife nor my reaction have slowed up that much that we cannot make this adjustment if it were possible. We especially wanted to able to have a sensitive adjustment because of the dog. The dealer claims this is a general MINI thing. Is it?

 

Hmmm, that seems weird. I'm able to crack mine about an inch. Are you pressing and holding down the window switch, or just clicking once really fast? I know that the windows will go down automatically if you click once, but if you hold the switch, you can adjust manually. You probably already knew that, but just checking

 

Try giving it a quick double tap. The second tap will cancel the auto roll-down and should give you a small gap.
