That hose is the return from the PCV system. If you are getting oil there you need to probably replace the valve cover. But not always. There is a separator with a rubber diaphragm under a cap in the passenger side rear corner of the valve cover, this gets ripped and can be replaced. I have a thread about it here https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-question.html
Its worth a shot to save a few hundred bucks.

Wait! we have oil around spark plug #3 and #4 (needs O-rings) and now you are saying this is a symptom of "valve cover" ? Will look at your post. Thank you Mr. Grumpy!

Ok looked at your PCV-repair post. Valve Cover gasket and PCV diaphragm are two different things.
I also ordered this catch can ... https://www.ebay.com/itm/163142651792

A slight misfit on a valve cover can have you crying like a baby on why you didn't buy the OEM part. I bought the Russian PVC valve and cover and the cover didn't stay put. Had to reuse old cover, not worth saving the cash on this kind of part unless it is returnable.

Hi All,

We are having this issue badly.

First happened when a factory coil pack went out (drove on 3 cylinders).

I replaced with Delphi coils and seems to hiccup during every acceleration when engine is cold, but is there when at operating temp, but not as bad.

I thought delphi was the same as the oem coils? Or no? I'm planning on plugs and coils again...and want to make sure to get the right ones...if I have to order from the dealer (nearest is 3 hours away...) I'll do it, just prefer not to.

No engine codes...although the car seems to eat cam sensors somewhat often (gone through 4? and at 110k).

TIA!
