JCW Front Grille Question

I am looking at purchasing the jcw front grille to replace my stock black one (I have a '13 S) but they have two purchase options. One is "JCW Grill w/ Red Slat: R60/61" for $162.95 and the other "JCW Grill w/ Red Slat + Brackets: R60/61" for $241.50. Can I just buy the $162 option and install it with the bolts I remove from the old one? I am confused as to which I should buy.

Thanks!

according to the description of the one with the brackets
". This particular grill also includes the official MINI Light brackets as part of kit in order to install the factory MINI oem driving lights. "

So my guess (and this IS a guess) would be that unless you want to mount oem driving lights, you don't need the brackets. I like the look of this grill.

This is the JCW Grille in the newer version. 63132360285 with the brackets.

This one is just the grille , which you could cut the grille to fit your original lights but it might not look as clean.

This grille will NOT fit a 2013 JCW (gen II) as it is made for a gen III.

Incorrect, it will fit.

But, please don't put a JCW grill on a non JCW car, don't get why people do this kind of thing? Just get the new S grille with the chrome bar.

Because I like the style of the front grill? I am not trying to make it seem like a JCW car and if I was doing that, then I'd buy a rear JCW badge and take the cooper s off. I just like the red slat compared to the boring black grill. Plus my car is red with a black roof so it'd work very well.

Agreed i think the red bar just looks better overall on certain colors i wouldn't even want the jcw emblem on the grill that is in the picture.

the jcw badge doesn't come off - so get the s grille and then make the bar red with vinyl or paint or something. youre going to have a jcw badge on the front and a cooper s badge on the rear, that will look out of place because its not a jcw. all im trying to say.

I'm really interested in purchasing the JCW grill with red bar on it. Is there really no way to detach the JCW badge from it? It's the only thing that holds me back from purchasing it, don't want to have an S with a JCW badge in front...

Last time i looks ate it its molded in a bit. Nothing a Dremel and some modifying cant fix. Or What would be cool it to paint it black. Like a black out badge.
