Purchased a 2015 MINI Countryman S ALL4
Here are some pics with its older brother, a 2003 MINI Cooper S.

Does anyone have recommendations for a decent phone holder that is not the ProClip?

Cravenspeed makes a good one that mounts to the back of the tachometer.
I use a $30 Amazon suction cup mount, mounted to the trim around the center speedo:

Thanks ECS Tuning. I feel that with the armrest and the hand brake, there is little room for any of the rail accessories. It looks like MINI is now blocking anything from being mounted in front of the handbrake as there are plastic blocking strips in the tracks that run about 8 inches from the gear shift housing.
siriuszero, Thanks for those suggestions too. I have an Ottie suction cup mount but it can't see to stick for long because all the surfaces are curved and textured now. The Mickey Mouse Ears housing is textured up to 1 inch from the speedometer ring. I'll have to take a close look at the Cravenspeed mount.
Has anyone had success with one of the cup holder mounts (
or one of the CD slot mounts (
Also, is the storage space under the driver's seat with the strap meant to hold the optional MINI Mobility pack?

You are welcome.
Yes, not too much room either one accessory or the other. Think the block strip are new.
That strap under the seat is for the tow hook.

Must be to hold it separate out of the case. It comes in a case. But.. MINI just changed the design of the contents soo, think it might not work. Also this can hook in the trunk to the metal loops/

Yes, but not in my Mini CM. I had it in a Nissan (boo). It worked well in that car.

Love it! "Old school" and new school. Looks great. If you're wanting something a bit more simple for a phone mount, check out this one. It actually does pretty well, even with aggressive driving. Enjoy the new ride!

I use the one from Cravenspeed. https://www.cravenspeed.com/gemini-p...ount-for-mini/ Comes with clamp holder and magnet holder. I like the magnet one, takes just a second or two to attach the phone. Perfect position to use the phones GPS. Took about 10 minutes to install.
