WTK-Oil

Hey people. Has anyone used Redline oil in their engine?5W40 I used it for three weeks and i am changing it to Valvoline this weekend. My mechanic doesn't like Redline. I live in Trinidad which has a hot climate. I thought Redline was good because i see plenty circuit race cars use it. I couldn't find the body in Gulf or Mobil brand so I am going to try the Valvoline. Also, when i put the Redline i changed the oil filter,as its only three weeks later do i have to put a new oil filter or can i just change the oil?

Redline oil is perfectly fine to use.. just as long as its not a full race blend, without detergents. You could even run a 10-40 or 10-50 if youre in very hot climate. I change my oil at ~3k miles, and change the filter every other oil change. **If the oil your removing is black.. change the filter.
