Electrical WTK: H3 Driving Lamps
WTK: H3 Driving Lamps
I have the factory driving lights, but they are rather dull and boring. I went and bought 100W H3's, put them in and they work, but took them out because Classic didn't suggest them. I went and got the blue-white 55w but they just aren't bright enough.
Will the 100w bulbs work? They look identical, same wiring and all, only difference is one small tab on the metal mounting surface. Would I need to worry about killing something?
I noticed they are a little warmer, but I do not do any long drives with driving lamps on, so I am not really worried about melting anything.

I have the original MINI rally lights and a set of PIAA IQ 520 fog lights. The PIAA's came with H3 85 watt bulbs. I have replace all 4 with 100 watt H3's and have been running them for over a year with no problems. I run the PIAA's always on even in the daylight. No problems whatsoever.
Just my 2 cents.
