Installed NM RSe14 19" wheels w/Toyo Proxes 4 Plus tires, NM lowering springs, NM rear sway bar and SPC lower control arms and got a 4 wheel alignment. Also installed HID yellow fog lamps the other day.

Here is a short time-lapse video of the install: http://s92.photobucket.com/user/djul...6b094.mp4.html

Yes, I kept the stock struts. No issues at all so far. The tires are quiet are absorb bumps better than the run flats even though they are larger and have a lower profile. With the new sway bar, when cornering the car doesn't lean nearly as much. I'm EXTREMELY happy with it so far.

I ordered the MINI LED Daytime Running Lights earlier this year and finally decided today was the day. I am pleased how they turned out and I delighted I was able to put everything back together.

replaced the stock outside mirrors with the wide angle "blindspot" euro mirrors ... big difference

i am ordering a set for my sister's all4 tomorrow

http://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2011-C...ors/ES2608510/

also replaced all the interior lamps with LEDs along with the city lights (the lights above the fog lights)

the city lights are the same color as the xenon headlights and make the stock fog lights seem yellow

Thanks ,

They should come down a bit more, maybe your hung up on the wire harness in the bumper. The lens has pegs that hold the one side. And the metal spring clip on the other side. Pry with a small tool on the peg side. , push it toward the cip side. then pull down.

Are they stuck on both sides? Did you try both. I have seen them come out easy before.

I installed the license plate LEDS from ECS Tuning on my 2014 CMS All4. It was a pain (although I am very pleased with the product). I did try a flat screwdriver on the right side of the housing to try and pop out the light housing and it was really difficult. I ended up breaking a piece off the right side of one of the housings. There is a metal "U-shaped" clip on the right side of the housing. If your prying tool cannot compress that clip; it will be very hard to pop out the housing without damaging something.

After installing the housings back into the bumper, they did not fit as tight as they used to. So after trial and error of popping out the housing and rebending that "U-clip", I was able to get the housing to fit snuggly again.

Just take your time and try using as thin as a flathead screwdriver you can find to compress the metal clip.

Not sure if I want to ever pop these housing out again now that they fit tight, thankfully the LEDS should last a very long time. Good luck!

Sorry I realized said it backwards, edited. Press down on the spring clip side, try pressing from the peg side so it pushes the clip, compressing it , then pry down from the peg side. They wiggle the housing out. Did you try that. Its a tight fit for the countryman compared to the other models.

+1 It definitely is harder to get them out for the countryman.

On a side note, I installed a BMW Carbon Fiber Composite Slimline License Plate Frame. Whew, what a mouthful. Ha-ha!

Hope you can get it installed. They really look great.

Yes, it is nice plate frame, pretty much universal to US plates and slim. Very cool.

Thanks

Replaced my foglights bulbs with LEDs, even though the LED has resistor the error message still pops up, so deleted with coding, thanks to BIMCoding for the remote coding...also had him coded, 1. Seat belt chime OFF, 2. Nav nagging OFF, 3. Windows and Moonroofs Close with fob, 4. Fog light ON even with High Beam, 5. Euro Hazard blinks, 6. Soft blinks to Six instead of Triple, 7. Correct speed on the digital speedometer (always seems like the speed too high). He did my X5 before.

Cheers

The only thing I find annoying is that even though the package says it comes with "All installation hardware including hider caps" that is not so because they do not include the screws. For how pricey the frames are, you would think that screws would be included. Especially since BMW/MINI usually only give you 2 screws for the front plate. Luckily I had some extras laying around that worked perfectly.

Yeah, I chipped a Passat TDi, and it was a torque beast. Still got 35-37 MPG if I kept my foot out of it.

i completely destroyed both of mine removing them because the cup on the spring clip didn't hook to the side of the notch in the bumper but was above it instead and without actually seeing the part it was hard to tell what was going on above the bumper. if you do not see the copper cup in the notch on light housing opening on the bumper then this is probably the case and no matter how hard you pull it will only bend and deform the clip. if you can get a small hook to loop around the copper spring clip and pull it towards the housing there's a possibility that would work, BUT.. don't mash up the edge on the bumper that the clip is suppose to seat against or it won't sit right later when you get it fixed.

... geez, i hope this is understandable, in hind sight it's very clear to me now.

before i pulled enough to bust the clips i called my local mini dealer to see if he had 2 of these light housings in stock so i could at least fix it that day rather then have to drive around with dangling tail lights for a week.

Chocolatey Goodness

Last Saturday, actually, but MoonPie received some boot stripes. Hood stripes will be attempted this weekend.
