Drivetrain Cheaper Safe Mods?
Cheaper Safe Mods?
What are some cheaper mods that don’t really affect reliability or anything breaking? My car is a 2012 S with 73,000 and so far hasn’t had a ton of parts replaced. The turbo was serviced in the last year and it has no current after market mods. I prefer going fast off the line so I was wondering about mods that would help with that. I had seen the JB+ but wasn’t sure if it was legit and ok with how many miles my car has. Thank you all for your help.
Anything to boost power will reduce reliability. Enough to worry about? Who knows. Do you do your own maintenance? Fluid changes, tire rotation? The JB+ is a great way to start. Do a drop in dry AFE air filter and if you can a bigger intercooler. That should hold you until the speed but really bites.
Edit: check your oil level every fillup. Do you have manual or auto?
Edit2: If your spark plugs are stock, change them to one step colder (JCW spec) for a little insurance.

For sure the number one mod that won't hurt the engine or have any potential to damage anything would be a bigger intercooler

Then a rear sway bar will improve the handling and reduce body roll

It is an automatic and no I don’t really do my own maintenance. I haven’t really worked on vehicles before except for my previous one and it was a lot simpler (03 ford ranger). Thank you all for your advice
