Does this require cutting of the stock system?

 

Yes, the stock exhaust requires cutting in order to install the NM exhaust. One cut is all it takes to drop the stock exhaust.

Bummer. Which ones don't require cutting? I'd like to be able to swap back fairly easily if I don't like it or trade the car in.

 

bavauto.com has the scorpion dp back exhaust on sale for under $800

uses the oem v-band clamp to attach to the downpipe ... no cutting, 100% reversable

i have had my milltek do back for 3.5 years on my all4 ... it also attachs with stock v-band clamp

i would have bought the scorpion but ut was n/a 3.5 years ago
