Have this car about a month with over a 100,000 miles. Only thing I have a problem was with the water temperature sensor not turning fan on.
had to bleed air out of water and check the sensor which is ok.
I have to drive it with the A/C on to have the fan working to cool motor.
relay is hot and if you change it with a another one fan comes on. But next time is does not come on.
So first thing we did was get rid of the run a flat tires. Got new brakes pads with newer disks with the holes on them. I always do the work on my cars and save a ton of money that way.
was going to put new plugs in but Mini plugs are 116.00 for four plugs. So look it up at Auto Zone for under 30.00 for the same ones. So have been looking for a repair manual for this car, BMW has banned the manuals to car 2014 and up on the Mini. So that put a owner of a mini in a harder spot to fixed their cars. But so far Youtube has video to help out. Like the way to get to the water bleeder and oil filter to change it.
So we love the car and it run great.

Love the front tag so we left it on the car.

I have the exact same car. How does the engine sound. mine sounds knocks in the upper area runs great but the noise is unnerving is your engine quiet ?
I just bought mine with 42,000 miles.

 

I sold my 2014 JCW Coupe last year with about 70k miles and the engine didn't make any noise, I realize it had a different turbocharger but there was no noise.
