Two weeks before Christmas it became clear it was time to replace Donna's 2002 Explorer. I went on a mission to drive ever SUV, Crossover, Jeep, Three, two row, 8 speed, moonroof,4 wheel drive, all wheel drive, side radar, self parking, on and on. I had so many best friends, they all seem to sell cars. I only pissed off two which is a record for me. Pictured below is Donna's new 3 row SUV.
Happy wife happy life.
Cleaned her up a little today. Found one small scratch on a mirror and polished one headlight and nothing else. 25K on the clock. My wife's car to drive on road trips with the British Motoring Club of New Orleans ( We welcome MINI'S in our club and shows). She has a Triumph TR3 but the non synchromesh first gear and her don't get along. I drive a Triumph TR 6 and my son drives a Lotus Elise on the road trips. I have a love for Roadsters.
Welcome! Sweet looking TR3 and TR6. I lusted after a TR6 in 1974 but my dad talked me out of it. Too impractical! Dang Dads, always right!
My R59 is my TR6. Smiles per mile
Thank you for the nice words. As I learn more about the R59 the more I love it. My child bride and myself took the Roadster to the car club meeting, or as the club is often called The Big Meal Club of New Orleans, everyone loved the Roadster. My wife drove and did very well, the ride back was a me giving her a lesson in how to make it pop and gurgle in sport mode with her at the wheel. I may have unleashed a speed demon unto our streets.

Congratulations........ very nice color and classy Mini Roadster. I have a kick on them with no stripes.
Having a great time with this car, wife and myself will take it on our first BMCNO club drive tomorrow morning. Meet at a Cajun Village then down the winding road that runs along the west bank of the Mississippi River to Baton Rouge and lunch at a Cajun Restaurant.
Turns out this is a 2013 Super bowl car.
Got car cover today. Hope she had a good time and behaved herself. Nice tight fit, I like this one.

No way, thats awesome.
I think it was used in the superbowl party. Nice find.
I have to get ones of those car covers from my R58.
Great looking Roadster (s)... all. These Minis are a hoot to drive, and we get compliments every time we stop someplace. You snagged a great find. That color is spectacular (I may be a tad jaded there), plus JCW kit and R112 wheels. Perfect.
Nice to see that not all Roadsters are snow bound like ours this time of year. Those palm trees and the wearing of shorts in January is just too much!
