Is it normal for manual 2014 roadster s transmission and flywheel replaced

Hi all, I've a 2014 roadster s and mine a stixkshift with about 21,000 miles . It broke down in middle of highway 4.5 hrs from home and had to towed to the closest dealership which is 1.5 hrs from
The highway. It happen about 1 month ago when the car suddenly jerk, no power when I step
On gas and crawl at 20mph and make noises and there was no code. I took to my dealership and explained to them but they said thye can't find anytignf wrong after testing for couple of
Days..so I assume it's ok and it happen again on my trip. The dealership thta I had it towed found the problem the day thye look at my
Car and said something in transmission keep popping put of place . It is now in dealership for transmission and flywheel to be replaced and who knows what else thta thye did not tell me. Thank goodness warranty covers all of the $9500 ++ !!!!! I'm really angry at the first dealership for not believing me

How long does it take to replace transmission and flywheel!?? Is it normal for a new car like mine to have transmission and flywheel replaced at 21,000 miles. Should I be worry it will happen again after warranty expires? What other problems would happen?

Anyone out there help me..

No, it is not normal to have transmission work done after only 21k miles.
So when the car broke down and you put your foot on the accelerator, did you hear the engine revving up or not?

Though quality controls are well done these days, it is possible something was not properly assembled at the factory. Every car maker will have a certain amount of assembly mistakes. If the engine didn't rev up at all, would tell you if it is a transmission or an engine problem. If the engine didn't rev-up at all, I have a hard time believing it is an issue with the transmission unless something is really seized. If the engine did rev, regardless if the car is moving or not, then yes it could very well be a transmission and/or fly wheel problem. At which point it would be an exception that a new transmission should fix for a long time.
In these cases make sure you ask enough question about what is being done. It will be your insurance for later. By the way, usually new parts are covered under a warranty so if that specific part, the one they change fails, that specific part would have a warranty of its own. I don't know the specifics of the warranty 1-2 yr warranty, something like that. Though I'm not sure what happens when the car is currently under warranty.

This really looks bad. I never heard or read about issues with this transmission..

Mine is silky and smooth at 18K. Are you the first owner?

If someone takes it to the track and smokes the clutch or rides the clutch all the time, it can happen.

Not normal if you bought it new and are not hard on the clutch. Did you get it new ?
