Seriously though, my Z4, with the top retracted, still has enough room for two decent sized duffle bags, more than enough for my wife and me, for a week-long road trip.
Yes, but it is true that the MINI roadster has more space than most roadsters and that's a nice + . . . some added flexibility for traveling :D

Very true! The MINI Roadster boot is absolutely cavernous compared to most!

you might want to actually go LOOK at the current Miata with the retractable hard top. Impact on the trunk when it is down is minimal . . . I was very surprised.
