New roadster ordered - & just missed the boat

Ordered my JCW Roadster last month (Jan 10), and discovered today that it arrived yesterday at the Southampton dock and is awaiting transport. And the ship left 2 days ago. Next ship is Feb 25th. Oh well, hope she has fun at the shore, and doesn't meet any sailors.

Thanks to Ken for his Virgil posts, and to Tall Dude for the link to the "How to track" post (https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d-updated.html). Really helpful!

Here's my stats (ordered and some mods planned):
2014 JCW Roadster - Highclass Gray w/ black bonnet stripes
17" Challenge Spoke Black wheels & black mirrors
Black-out surrounds for grill & front & back lights
Adaptive Xenon headlamps & rear fog lamp
Lounge Toffee leather & color line
Piano Black dash & door panels & Chrome Line interior
Heated seats
Technology package & Mini Connected package
6-speed manual, JCW relative torque gauge
+ other random stuff from Out Motoring

Here are the photos from the MiniUSA website configurator:

Gonna be amazing when she finally arrives.

I haven't figured out a name yet. I hear it's luckier to name a horse after you first ride it; maybe that'll be true of my roadster.

Cheers!
Scott

Nice combo Scott. Big fan of the Toffee interior on the dark panel and body color.

Hope the trip across the pond goes quickly for you.

ScottyM, you have built a great JCW Roadster. That Highclass Gray is stunning…especially in the sun. Great choices on options too. Toffee leather will go so well with the exterior.

I'll post when VIRGIL actually arrives at the VDC. I am trying to get status since he has been on the ship too long. Maybe he got that flu and has been confined to his room….LOL. Ken-

Congrats on the highclass grey choice. I chose the same after reef blue went out of production and am now really liking the alternative color choice even better. The boat info is helpful. I think that must be why my R57 which was ordered 4 Jan and finished the 6th of Feb has been "awaiting transport" for over a week now. I expected it to depart on the 10th but I get the feeling its still in Southhampton. The waiting is tougher than I thought it would be.

Beautiful Roadster! I remember the waiting days, surfing the bulletin boards, dreaming about my MINI... Enjoy the wait! You will really love the car.

Landed in Pt. Hueneme & at the VDC! Looking forward to seeing her sometime next week!

21 days is a long time to watch a boat cross the ocean... ;-)
