The digital looks so much better in the car and I find it hard to believe that a car this expensive still has ***** and dials instead of electronic unit as standard. The A.C. works fine (because I drive with the top down 95% of the time) but I prefer the look of the digital.
While I don't have a Roadster (yet), I am on my second Clubman. One of the reasons I'm on my second Clubman is because I ordered the standard a/c in the first one. My gripes with the standard system were the thumb wheels for the fan and temp controls. On the auto a/c, those are replaced with rocker switches that I find are easier to operate accurately. Something else I learned is that the auto a/c has more fan speeds (6 or 7, I think) to choose from than the standard a/c (4).

Why on earth can't they offer us COOLED seats? It just dawned on me yesterday... I'd have spent some dollars on that...

You could always Velcro gel packs all over your seats.....

So here is one that has been running in my head for the last few weeks of ownership. Every time I look at the car I wish we had the headlights with washer jets, xenon, and self leveling options. Is this something that can be upgraded all together at a cost close the factory?
Are those worth it?

I don't know the answer, but I completely agree. I've got that stuff and I love them.

I kind of wish that I'd have gotten the upgraded seats with the lumbar support. I have the blackened HID headlights, and really like them. I didn't include the H/K system and I don't miss it in the roadster and I hate the automatic transmission. Shifts either too soon and lugs the engine, or too late. Manuel with the automatic isn't much better either. Guess ill have yo fight it out with ga next time.

Wish I had the alarm system. I accidentally left it off the original order and tried to add it later but it was too late. I also don't like the leatherette seats in hot weather especially with the top down because the back of my shirt and pants get wet with sweat. I didn't want to pay the extra money for the real leather but I should have gotten the checkered cloth.

It is possible to retrofit the Bi-Xenon/washer jets/black headlamps, but it will cost you a pretty penny. In addition, the car will need to be reprogrammed.

My favorite options in my JCW Roadster were Recarro Seats, Leather Dash topper, adaptive Xenon Headlights, alarm, JCW steering wheel, and convenience cold weather package.

My dislikes in general with the mini are HK Stereo & mini connected (not that good for the expense a pain to get working properly), Mini's plastics in the dash and panels (too hard, cheap looking and squawk), run-flat tires (ride like wagon wheels), and the cheap plastics on the exterior (really cheap quality and pit easily from stones or gravel).

I ordered checkered cloth seats and may consider sheepskin inserts during really hot months. I overlooked rear fog lamps. I have automatic climate control, but couldn't squeeze it in my signature below.

Same here, I also over looked the rear fog as well on order.
I was just reading about that other thread but I am way behind the curve in knowing what needs done and understanding that NCS programming.

not sure where your located but he is in Philadelphia PA, we met him at MOTD and have to say he was more than helpful as there was a slight programing change 2011+ ( also gave us one touch up windows )and he stayed with it until it was working.
i'm sure if you ask your local club they will know someone.

I'm in Pittsburgh so a little far for a quite visit to Phili.
Owning a MINI is all very new to us so I haven't got into the club scene yet.
That would be nice to have the one touch windows up. I'm at lost as to why it's one touch down but not up. I have it on my other car and it's been useful countless times, pretty much every day.

I guess I should be too impatient. I have a lot of catch-up to do...
