first 12 hours.

Finally got my Roadster.....

Here are my thoughts.

- When getting a car from another state that you dont see.... pay attention to the BOM. I just assumed I was getting sonar and black mirror caps..... nope. I will live (black caps probably will work better with my silver stripes). Sonar.... well this is a mini.... it aint that big.

- Modification completed already
+ Phone Mount
+ Changed out Steering Wheel for Chubby JCW Steering Wheel.
+ Pinstriped my color line
+ Changed out scuttles to black jack
+ installed my go badge (also black jack)
+ installed rubbish bag (mini cooper one).
+ installed glovebox organizer
+ change out shifter to GP version (red top)
+ installed tow hook license mount
+ filled rear foglight hole with dummy switch

- Still left to do:
+ start up XM
+ program radio
+ program GPS
+ settings in car
+ radar detector
+ clearshield front and back
+ silver stripes

- The car is AWESOME (weather in Minnesota helps as it was awesome yesterday). Super fun. Super different from my clubbie or cm.

- I have the JCW version and sound of the car at low speeds is intoxicating.

- at high speeds.... well that is obvious. this puppy flies.

Good to hear that you are having fun with your new ride. I didn't go the radar detector on account of if the police know that you have one, and they can tell with their equipment, you are instantly the owner of a ticket. Plus, I'm a 5 mph over type of guy anyway.

I've had my Lil Raggi, it's a S Roadster with only the S still showing on the gear shift. My wife insisted on an automatic this time.
Mine has the JCW Aero exterior package, as well as interior package. Rear fogs, black head lights, auto headlight/wipers, cold package and I think that's about it.
I added:
Chili Red Custom full Viper striping (goes down thru the bumpers)
Black head and tail light rings
Black JCW side scuttles
Black Motegi Racing Wheels
BFGoodrich 205 x 50 x 17
Hotkis 19 Sport rear sway bar (next week)
Clear Invisashield front bumper, head lights and mirrors
(not on the hood, just hate the line,

Next will be a exhaust system either from Milltek or Invidia. My guy is just too quiet.
GP2 Diffuser and after that, I don't know, maybe just drive it. They definately fun to drive.

My VIP Custom DP-back exhaust mated with an Akrapovic DP sounds better than any exhaust I've heard on a MINI.
