R59 First topdown day in chilly Massachusetts
Agreed! This Roadster is actually the 4th roadster I've owned in my life - college I had Fiat X-19 and Triumph Spitfire and ten years ago had a Boxster. I never thought I would drive anything like the Boxster again, but my Roadster comes very, very close. Just love that open top drive. I sooo missed it!
Flash back.
February 1975 - Spokane Washington - at the USAF Survival School. 22' of snow in the mountains and about 10' lining the main east west highway that takes all our foolish young butts east over the Idaho state line where the drinking age is 18.
Me in a brand new (1st ever) Triumph Spitfire with the tonneau cover on and buttoned down on the passenger side only, aviation sunglasses, and a grin that is threatening to cause the top of my head to fall of.
Scr*w winter! Top DOWN motoring!

Thanks for reminding me, and here's to Spring!
Cheers,
Charlie

Hey Guys,
I'm in, Quabbin early summer some time. A roadster club sounds good too.
My sister in law is visiting this week end and she and my wife are off doing stuff today.
For me it will be a full day of top down. I'll be taking the back roads out to Lime Rock Park to see what's going on...
