Ok guys, here's a little update. I know that ChefTyGuy isn't around as he's too busy trying to get his break in miles done, so not for him. Young wipper snapper.

Just received an e-mail from Maria saying that Lil Raggi had his new STRIPES put on today and will be back at the dealership tomorrow, so I should have some updated pictures tomorrow. We set the time for 10:00 on Saturday to pick him up. Have to leave here at 04:00 but that won't be a problem, as I probably won't be able to sleep anyway.

This is rediculous! An over the hill guy like me getting all excited about a car, like I did when I bought my first new car 30-40 or so years ago. But, here I am. This car is going to be fun.

Yup! The black stripes were not suppose to have been put on. Stripe delete was what it was suppose to have come thru. So we could have the red stripes put on at the dealers stripe guy.

So , you ordered car without stripes? It came with stripes? You had those stripes removed, so red stripes can be put on by dealer ? Did I screw this up?

That's pretty much it. The stripes bring applied are a bit different from the factory stripes, plus Mini wouldn't put red stripes on it, unless I spent $5500 more.

You ordered the car without stripes ? How did they screw that UP! I'm looking forward to seeing your special red stripes? Will we see them tomorrow?

Introducing... " MATILDA " ... The roadster

Brought her home .... 55 miles.... All top down driving.... Really cool... Any other choice of vehicle would have been just another car.... A roadster is not just another car ... Distinctive motoring at its best!!!

John, I can tell your cheeks are starting to ache from that semi-permanent grin.

She looks really great. I'm amazed that the toffee seats and dash in the PW work so well.

Being able to drive home topless must've been an exhilarating experience.

Well all, Maria sent me what Lil Raggi looks like with his brand new stripes. Gives him a new look.

I like the additional pinstripes a lot. I'm still 50/50 on extending the stripes over the bumper. I'm trying to decide whether to do that myself on my car...

Extending the stripes was done because I just think that the stopping at the boot/trunk lid in the rear and stopping at the grille looks unfinished. Just my opinion, of course, and that's why we did it this way.

I agree, I think it looks "complete" done that way, and not something you see on every Mini. Bravo
