R59 Roadster sales pass 2000 year-to-date
Roadster sales pass 2000 year-to-date
New US sales figures at Motoring File: http://www.motoringfile.com/2012/12/...r-2011-levels/
It seems that Roadster sales (2098 so far) have eaten into Convertible sales a bit, but the sum of both for this year is greater than last year's Convertible-only sales, so it's a net add overall.
Different story for the hardtop, sales of the R56 are up a little and if you add in Coupe sales it's up significantly.
Clubman sales are down, but more than made up for by increased Countryman sales.

That's a good source, thanks Mark!
Here's the same chart for November, shows the Roadster slightly outselling the Coupe:

Shucks, I was hoping that the sales would stay lower to make the Roadster a bit more rare. Still, 2,000 sales in a year is low in the scheme of things. Break that down to JCW Roadsters and I'll bet it gets a bit more rare. Oh well, they're all fun.
Should have seen the looks that I got this week in the blizzard snow that we had here in Iowa. Yes, I drove Lil Guy to work on Thursday, Friday for that matter too, and I was there with all the 4X4's in the company parking ramp. I will say this, the 13" of snow that I had on our street before the snow plows go out did make my Mini a bit like a snow plow, half way up the lower grille there was packed snow.
