What color stripes on a chili red roadster?
Do you prefer silver or black?

I think every chili red car I have seen (on here, close to zero Roadsters in real life and no red ones) did the black stripes if they did any at all. Most red cars seem to do black wheels too. The silver stripes with silver wheels would make your car different from the crowd on here. It's your decision, that's what's so great about ordering MINIs!

Agree with black. Black top, black seats, new black (carbon fiber) mirror caps, black driving light covers, black grill, black wheels. Left me with only one option for stripes.
Silver stripes might look nice, but then I'd change other accessories as well, to the extent possible.
My 2 cents,
Alan

Black....while I prefer white tops/stripes on my MINI Hardtops....since you have a black top, it needs black stripes.

I prefer black or white stripes on Chili Red but they should match your roof, IMO. Which means black on a Roadster, of course.

Did all black -- stripes, interior, mirrors.
And considering doing the A-Panels in black carbon fiber, or a black checkerboard stripe along the sides.

Black in the only way to go.

The posts above give you the obvious answer - get silver; the black/red theme is entirely too common.

For a reason.
Besides, how many MINIs do you run across every day anyway, let alone a Chili Red one with black stripes. Being a MINI, it's already unusual.

And I bet all of them are Chili Red with black stripes.
And I meant people in general, not just you. And I bet the OP doesn't live in North Jersey.

If you could choose the color of the soft-top then different stripes would be great, but with the black top, introducing another color ???????
Just an opinion, your money, your car, your choice.

I actually think the silver stripes look good from what I can tell from the configurator, especially if you are not choosing black wheels, black headlight casings, or black side mirror caps.

A. Configurator images are not the best way to decide.
B. Roof is down in that thumbnail image.
C. Black still would look better.

Personal choice, like all things MINI!

I think a lot would depend on the exact shade of blue. Could be really striking and unique for sure.
