R59 side scuttles
side scuttles
I have a JCW Roadster being delivered in a couple of weeks. I have been thinking of ways to "personalize" it beyond the normal add-ons, etc. One thing that came to mind was to build custom side scuttles that would be one-of-a-kind to my car. A couple of questions I have about this thought:
1) Is there any vendor that sells custom side scuttles, made to order according to the customer's specs?
2) If I decide to make them myself (billet aluminum or ?) and put a flat plate in place of the vents, would this in any way affect the air-flow in the engine compartment, especially because it is the high HP JCW motor?
3) Does anyone see any problems that I might run up against in doing so? Thanks. Bob Johnson in Oregon

It's merely an aesthetic exterior feature.

This site has a custom scuttle option: http://mybeautifulmini.com/side-scut...-c-44_170.html. Looks like a cool way to personalize. Looking forward to seeing what you end up doing.
