Acceration Lag/hesitation
2012 R58 Coupe Cooper S

Mods, Repairs & Upgrades done:
• Hybrid K04 F21M Turbo
• New oil fileter housing, oil lines, and replaced both vanos. Both OEM.
• Wagner intercooler
• K&N Air Intake System
• Timming Chain
• Catless Down Pipe (Mario Palza)
• RPM Stages 2 and 3 (both done by Mario P., now on stage 3)
Car was driving wonderfully for a long time on the RPM stage 2 tune by Mario Palza. Only upgrades were the down pipe and intercooler. Recently upgraded with the larger turbo, added the K&N air intake system, replaced the timing chain, and re-maped the ECU to stage 3 RPM done by Mario.
After competing these upgrades and repairs, I notice a delay, or lag in acceration. To be more precise, if I just barely press down on the accelerator pedal, say 15% and hold it in position, it pulls good. Reaching 4500 rpms to redline I hear the bigger turbo compressor wheel spool up and the car rips! Now, if I depress the accelerator pedal normally, in a slow manner, or from holding it down at the 15% spot, there's a lack of power. It speeds up, but nothing like when I hold the accelerator pedal in position as I wait for boost and power to kick in. It lliterally feels as if the car is in Limp Mode whe I step on the gas like normal.
The car had this issue on a stage 2 tune, and after we finished working on the upgrades/repairs. So, sent the ECU to Mario, thinking the lack of HP was because it needed to be remapped to the 3 tune. After receiving it, I plugged it back in. To my disappointment, it still feels weak. However, there's a substancial amount of new horsepower/boost when the gas pedal is held in a fixed position wating on throttle response.
Any ideas of what to do? Can it be something as simple as a new oem gas pedal w/sensor, or possibly looking into purchasing something like a D1 spec Throttle Controller?
