The backup (reverse light) is not working on my 2012 R58 JCW 6 spd. manual transmission. I just purchased the car and realized today the backup single light is not working. The bulb is fine. There is no power going to the socket when in reverse. Is there a fuse for this bulb and if so, what fuse number on the passenger side fuse box? Is there only a backup light switch on the 6 speed manual transmission? Apparently there are rear fog lights but I don't think I have the switch for it. There is only one switch for the front fog lights. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

There is no switch for the reverse light. When you put the shifter into reverse it should engage a switch to turn on the light. Your owners manual should be able to tell you which fuse to check.

This has some technical diagrams if its not the fuse. Make sure the socket is ok ( pins like to move) and the wire going to it near the back.
