Radio Code?

I recently purchased a used 2012 Mini Coupe. It came with one key and an owner's manual, so I am already behind the curve.
i just replaced the thermostat unit and plastic coolant pipe because the Mini set a Check Engine about coolant being too cool. The thermostat was stuck open.
I want to clear the codes by disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU, but I am afraid that the radio will ask for a code to operate again. I don't have the car radio manual.
So my question to you Coupers is, does the 2012 Mini radio require a code after losing battery power?

I've had two GEN2 and don't recall a code for either ..... nothing in the book about one for my 15 R59

I think the embedded / buried radio made that kinda moot .... in my 83 VW-vert' where you popped a piece of plastic trim and two spring clips and the head unit was in your hands. Had 2 radios stolen from that one in 2 years living in Miami in the 80's. Finally put in a cheap radio and it was never touched again.

Thanks for your reply. I had wondered why anyone would want to steal a radio so unique to MINI. It wouldn't be worth the trouble.
I may try doing a reset so the ECU and Tranny computer can learn a new driving style.
