R58 Love my Coupe S; are they collector's items yet?
It just takes one person to think its legendary. I have 2 limited production vehicles and the coupe is still so much fun. I personally think it will be worth more than just a R56 just for the rarity of it.
Another ones is:
It must be a cheap car because its small?
Never seen one of those.
Is that battery powered?

My favorite question ever asked was the first day I drove my 2006 R50 to work. It was Nightfire red top and bottom. As I get out of car a co-worker walks up to me and proceeds to ask. "How many clowns can you fit in there?".

Well I traded in my 2014 JCW Coupe at Mini of Tempe on my new 2020 JCW Clubman around May 1 and they gave me a whopping $11k for it! 6 years prior I had paid about $38k at Mini North Scottsdale. Not much different than the 2007 MCS trade before that, right? I loved the car but as he said above the 2 seater Minis just didn't sell. Mine was on the dealer's lot about a year before I bought it. Plus it was an expensive Mini too.
I remember a time when you could pick up an absolutely beautiful (near mint) Volvo 240 for a few hundred bucks and everyone said that they would never be collectible.
I've seen several low mile wagons (with manual) break $15K recently. I've even been offered $6k+ for my sedan automatic (least desirable) and she has 245K. But I didn't keep my 240 to see when she would become collectible - I kept her because I love the car.
I bought my R59 20 months ago and she only had 16K miles - - I'm not keeping her for a collectible, I'm driving the tires off of her!
