Thanks! It's a blast to drive. I started a MINI car club in Manhattan. I'll be posting events and stuff if you're in the neighborhood you're more than welcome to join.

In my opinion, this is the only thing missing about esthetic and would be a nice upgrade to complete your thematic.

Funny you mention that...it's one of the next things to be done. Just need $$$. Was going to get the JCW Wing and wrap it in really nice Carbon Fiber.

The active rear spoiler is a better fit to the overall design of the Coupe. The big wing is way off and breaks everything. This is just my opinion.

I like the OEM retractable spoiler, but I also like the JDM feel of the JCW spoiler. It's a tough call. I might just leave it the way it is. It's all up in the air at this point.

Oh how, oh how, I wish they made this for our coupes. Sadly, it's just for the roadster. They should call it the Hanna Montanna.

Cus it's the best of both worlds.

I learnt something today. I always thought the spoilers were the same on Roadster and Coupe but they're not. The standard active ones are different part numbers, and so are the JCW wings. I've got a wing for my Roadster on price watch to see if they sell them off and drop the price like they've been doing with aero kits, etc. I plan to keep the car a long time so putting a fixed one away for if/when the movable one fails seems like a good and less expensive plan.

Why wouldn't this fit on the Coupe? Looks about the right size.

Because the fluid dynamic and airfoil of the Coupe is far different from the roadster, the spoilers are not the same.

Many people think this is a gadget as well as the roof spoiler on the Coupe but they are not.

Gotcha! Good to know for sure. I'm still debating on the JCW wing. I'll install it and NOT turn off the auto raising feature.

That would look so weird. ha!

Yes, they have 2 different parts numbers on the JCW wing and the OEM parts. R58 vs. R59, might be able to mod it to work. I bet the edges and contour has to be modded.

Yeah, I'm sure it would fit with some slight modifications. Though...to be honest...there's no way I'm going to do that.

I'll most likely put that JCW wing on and have it wrapped in Carbon Fiber. It'll look sick. Or do you think I should have it painted black?

Wrap it would be easy and a quick way to find out if you like that better. Paint it would look more professional but it would cost more. I would wrap first and see what it looks like. If it does not look like what you wanted go to the painted look.

I seem to remember a thread about that active CF spoiler costing like $2500.

I did a matt black wrap on mine, under certain conditions the sun would reflect off the spoiler and blind me! (picture taken by the shop that did the detail and the wrap):
