My Coupe is basic S model and electronics. Manual says the key stores door lock options but under settings I only get english/british units for choices, no auto key lock option.

What am I missing?

Sounds like you're looking at the infotainment display - the auto-lock is set up using the tachometer display. Try there.

 

Finally got to the bottom of it. For those of you who never bothered setting door locks, lights, turn signals.... seems on the basic model, there are TWO settings menus. You toggle to the first one, which is where I was, and then you look at the display above it and it shows a key. THEN YOU TOGGLE ONE MORE TIME, and yes it still says settings, BUT THE KEY CHANGES TO A CHECK MARK!

Not clear in manual, even my dealer brought out a svc mgr who owned one and couldn't figure it out until they went back and got a tech.

They need to either fix the manual or change it to Settings1 and Settings2
