How many more MY's for the R58?

Does anyone know how many more model years the R58 will be around in its current configuration? Will there be a 2015? With the F56 about to be released it's only a matter of time before the R55, R57, R58, and R59 get their facelifts.

I've "heard" that the coupe/roadster will condense into one model with AWD and a retractable hardtop. Anyone else hear this?

Just curious....(basically, how much longer do I have to get a R58 if I want one?)

Well following the 7 year cycle....it won't have a major refresh till 2017, possibly even 2018.

So, my good buddy, who also happens to be my MA at MINI, is going down to Pomona, CA next week for training on the new F56. I specifically asked him to see what's going to happen to the R58/59 as well. At this time he seems to think that it will NOT run it's 7 year course but be replace with the new engine as soon as next year. Also seems to think it will be condensed into one model with a removable/retractable hardtop.

Either way, should have more definite information by the end of next week.

Tell him to bring an F56 back and I'll buy it from him.

He's already got over 10 orders for the new F56 in his pipeline. He said it's gonna be a good summer for him!
