Picked up the new S Coupe. Wow, I had no idea how much fun it is.

I like the following:
Folding Mirrors
HK, Nav System
Adaptive Light Control
Voice commands to operate music

The rear parking sensor is cool. Put it in reverse and the Nav shows the car and items on the side light up in different colors. Like a fan you see radar imaged out the back with sound.

Interior Piano Black with Beige accents on door panel and door arm rest. Stripes added for fun. Love the black.

Nice use of just two exterier colors, even on the wheels, black and silver. Although it looks like it belongs to a Raiders fan... nicely done.

I don't normally buy two cars at once.

After I ordered mine the wife decided she wanted one too. So we found one with the options she wanted. It is a Countryman with an interesting color. She got hers before mine came.

So now we don't need to fight over the Mini's. She was due for a new car.

 

Yes, wrong forum but here is the wife's car. I probably did the wrong thing getting the coverage on both to 100K. But I don't have time to worry about problems working 11 hour days.

Dealership seems nice, been there many times. I have no complaints and will see how it goes. I am sure anything can be fixed or replaced.

I do like the color of the Countryman. Now she wants to add striping on the rear and Unicorns on the doors.

 

If you're going to keep the Countryman long term, she did the right thing getting the extended maintenance plan, IMO. But the extended warranty, that doesn't usually pay for itself and if it does, you've got a pretty major issue or several smaller issues with the MINI.

 

I guess you never know.....

Got it on both cars. We normally keep cars until 100K. I only trade if there are problems. I did trade the Toyota a bit early at 79K but after what I am going through with my mother's death and taking care of my Dad I needed some fun.

I hope there are not major issues but glad to have the coverage. I also got the tire and wheel coverage too. But I won't cry tears if I never get to use it.

 

 

Interesting. On my sticker (2012) it specifically calls out oil changes every 10,000 miles. I wonder when and why they don't list it any more? Hmmm....

 

I am new to Mini and no expert. The Salesman made a huge point after I brought up changing the oil at my expense around 2K that the computer is different in 2013.

Car analyzes your driving. Oil change based on your driving style. City/Country, Speed, Hot, Cold, Wet, Dry etc.

One person may need to get oil changed per car computer at 5,800 and another would 7,200? Maybe bad example but that is how I understood the concept.

Maybe other's can chime in here. I took away the fact that car will not just assume 10K time for oil change.
