New to the Mini scene and just picked up a 2012 JCW! Love this thing to death Getting a new clutch atm since the original just went out at 48k miles (still under factory warranty thank god) Just ordered black grill trim and headlight trim for it! Looking at picking up a catback here soon but not sure which one to get?

Nice , welcome to the club. Looks like you have some great options and the black w/ red pipping seats. Nice find.

Welcome to the MINI addiction! Really great looking MINI. I really love the sound of Remus exhausts. Might be a good option to look into here. Happy modding! Let us know if you have any questions.
Nascar Hall of Fame and BOA staduim on my trip to Charlotte!1
I asked the cop directing traffic if he could take a pic of me with the car which he wouldnt do but he did block traffic so i could pull up and take a pic myself. Charlotte is a great little city to visit. I hate NASCAR but i did enjoy the museum. Since no one was there i was able to get unlimited practice on the virtual reality race track which was cool.

Thanks man! I just ordered the carbon fiber intake from ECS and will be looking at an exhaust here soon! What are my tuning options? I'm in Montana btw so not many Mini enthusiasts here so hopefully there are some good ecu reflash es out there??
Thanks , the F JCW exhaust is already pretty good sound. You could do a resonator delete on the JCW exhaust for a little better sound. Not many exhaust out there sound better the the F JCW one.

My pleasure. Whereabouts in Montana are you? If you do a quick Google search for MINI repair/performance shops in your area, I'm sure you can give one of them a call and they can give you an idea of tunes available for them. (I've heard of Manic Motorsports tunes). The exhaust will give your MINI a nice new sound.
Not a whole lot of Mini/BMW shops close. I do all my own work and whatnot. Just jumped from a e30, to e36 vert, now the JCW coupe (whi h is getting a new clutch at the moment due to the factory one going out at 48k miles)

Dude, where's my car? Nice JCW Coupe, a rare Mini indeed. Is that Eclipse Grey like mine? I got my 2014 new about a year ago. It handles way tighter than my 2007 MCS did. Stiffer frame/body they say. Some F56 person said he just took the muffler out entirely and did a straight pipe instead and it sounds great. Cost him $150. My black roof stripes started to fade so I had the dealer remove them entirely.

I took off my black stripes and no this car is cosmo black :P it's kinda rare around these parts, never seen a coupe before until I bought this one
So question, I ordered the carbon fiber ECS intake box....Shouldn't I be fine replacing the factory one with the ecs one and not getting a tune right away??
Sorry for the long intro and story but we Just picked this one up for my fiancé. This is her username that I setup for her that we will both be sharing. She had a 2004 Mini S pano roof and fully loaded, koni adjustable suspension, upgraded clutch and a couple other things. Laguna blue with white roof, white 17" wheels with yokohamas and white mirrors and accents. Picked it up from original owner with 100k miles on it for $5000 and it was in perfect condition to the point people thought I was lying when I told them it was a 2004 because they thought it was newer....that's how nice it was . At about 150k miles the master went out and then at 160k the entire AC system went out and was going to need to be replaced which was going to cost $1700-1800 from our mini mechanic who is honest and straight up. So we said screw it and sold the 2004 mini S for $4800 because we didn't feel it made sense to drop that kind of money into fixing the AC since the cost to fix was about 40% of the price we paid for the mini and we knew that it was such a nice and well taken care of car that we could sell it for $4-5000. I put it up for $5000 and within an hour we literally had a line of 4-5 different buyers waiting to check out the mini and test drive one after the other lol. Sold it within 2 hours of posting on CL for sale.
Then we headed to carmax to buy a 2011+ S convertible. But when we got there my fiancé saw a 2013 JCW coupe S that she fell in love with other than the color and the price. They wanted $24k and it had 28k miles on it and it was the dark dark grey color with black roof and accents.
So we found one at carmax in Oxnard for $18k with 38k miles on it with everything she wanted. Silver JCW coupe S with black roof, wheels, red big brake kit and black interior with red gloss accents and ambient lighting and of course 6 speed manual. Had it transferred for free on Friday and picked it up the following Monday last week. She loves the JCW coupe and so do I and this little beast is a rocket and is so much nicer than the 2004. Only thing it's missing is leather seats with seat heaters but my interior guy who does all my custom interiors for all my Protouring LS3 stroker/LS7 fully built custom 1969 Camaros is going to do full custom leather seats with black leather, black suede perforated inserts, red stitching and butt and back heaters for $400-500 installed with top quality materials. Can't beat that.
We literally fight over who gets to drive it when we take her JCW coupe.

So this week i finally got my black grill trim and black headlight housing and washer covers on!! Car is starting to look a lot cleaner IMO! Also as you can see I added the ECS carbon fiber intake on my car! Love the added induction noise and it definitely has made the car feel more awake. My question is, when I look at doing and exhaust and front mount, what are my tuning options? I haven't found a whole lot of info :/

So I was watching an episode of House Hunters and saw this Rocketman statue on a commercial for "Enjoy Illinois" that look awfully familiar. You'd have to be from Illinois to know what I am talking about, but still kinda cool nevertheless. The huge Rocketman just so happens to be in the little town of Wilmington, Illinois where my mother lives.
So, this past weekend, Elf and I stopped and snapped a pic! BTW, I named him Elf as that is 12 in German...yup, this is my 12th Mini Cooper...perhaps I need therapy.
