Love the Reef Blue color. I've never actually seen one but pix look great. Anyone know what year(s) or models it came on?
My understanding is that Reef Blue was originally offered only in the Clubman Hampton Edition, and then made available as an optional color for a short time. That short window combined with the Coupe's low sales numbers (as compared to hardtops) and the $1000 premium for the color, makes it pretty rare. I only know of one other RB Coupe on the forum (Kimpossible).
I'd love to see a breakdown of sales by Year, Model, and Color. But I don't know of a place to get that info.
I really love the color, but I'm growing less fond of the black stripes that are on it. I love the fact that the stripes are very subtle due to the Reef Blue being so dark, but the stripes themselves look kind of tired, especially the lighter stripes on the black roof. I've toyed with the idea of having them removed and/or replaced but haven't decided.
Its rare, i seen tons of MINI , MTTS events since 2006+, reef blue is rare even more rare on the R58 and R59 , bet there are only maybe a handful in that color in the country for an R58.
When the coupe first came out I didn't get it, but the longer I looked at it it started to grow on me. I eventually got to the point when I conceded it would be considered for my next MINI if my second R50 ever fell from favor. I was still loving it when they announced the coupe was being discontinued and I thought,oh well I'll wait to see what comes next, and the F56 came out and that was going further away from the first gen and I began to focus on the coupe again, but alas orders were no longer being taken so I began visiting the car search engines in search of a good low mileage coupe with specs I wanted, now two years later one finally surfaced that met my specs and expectations and I've pulled the trigger ! Good bye to my '06 Solar Red R50 and hello to my 2013 Silver White R58 Coupe ! 😊😢👍

Congrats on the new ride !!! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine a '12 silver white R58 Coupe S.. they are such a blast and one of the most unique models to own
Congrats, i like that rare solar red with the silver V stripe R50. But you got an R58 now , you will notice how much different it feels inside then the r50.
Great choice on the color , looks great with black wheels and black stripes.
