Hi,

I just got my 2013 JCW Coupe and before it arrived I bought the NM Heat Shield with Part No. 688856 thinking that it would be compatible. However, I couldn't get the posts screwed on as it is hitting the engine cover.

Anyone have tried this and what did you do to make it work?

According to NM's website, you needed part#: NM.688857

If you ordered from NM, call them and ask to talk to Jerry Tambayong. He'll fix you up. If you didn't order from them, call anyway. He's a good guy.

I got one of the first ones revised for the N18 engine and it was still a close fit. Good luck.

I put 4 layers of blue tape on the line I wanted to trim the JWC eng cover, and took a hack saw to it. A little filng to smooth out the rough spots and looks like they were made to play together.
