Noticed a week or so ago that my door sills were beginning to come unglued, and it's progressing quickly. These are the standard sills for an MCS Coupé. Rocky was built in the 1st/2nd week of Coupé production.

It's the silver inserts that are coming up from the black plastic underneath.

Coupled with the "#1" radio button that stopped working a while back, I think I'll call my dealer this week for an appointment.

So anyhow, yeah... might wanna check your door sills.

 

This happened on my r56 when I was washing my car one day. Pushed it back down at it seemed to hold temporarily - I had to run out and I saw an old friend on the bus stop, I forgot about the sill. You should have heard the nasty crunch when he shut the door! Needless to say it was ruined, but I haven't gotten a new one yet.

 

Look at the positive. You now have a good excuse to get some custom-made aftermarket door sill plates !
