The pictures show the black trim around the front hood but it will be replaced with the original chrome. The black trim came with the JCW trim kit but I rather the chrome as it will accent the chrome around the lights. Will get some good pictures pretty soon as well as some interior shots.
Hey MINI convert! I hear ya... the 6er is sweet, but for driving fun the MINI blows it away. Ya need the autobahn to enjoy and explore what a 6 can do.
I sold my 5th MINI about 1 1/2yrs ago to step up to the 911 'if not now, when?' in mind.
The 2006 911S Cab was all of it. However after 6 months and more police stops than I care to talk about, it was way too much car for US roads and tossable fun.
So I now drive a loaded JCW Sidewalk convertible 6 spd. I never thought I'd go back to MINI after 5 years of them, and a Porsche, but there ya have it. You aren't alone.
The car's been upgraded to track readiness (but for the run flats). Approx 220 hp, lowered, strut and under carriage braces , headers on and on.
The fun factor is just too great to give up! Safe motoring!
Sting,
That looks great What's next for you? I think your Coupe deserves a proper stance. You've done what I think is the coolest interior I've yet seen...good job with it all.
On the Mini Soda Package the floormats have the Soda Trim which is a nice element but I really like when you order the leather dash the emergency brake and shifter trim is leather with contrast stitching. That really sets everything off.
A couple of weeks ago, we stopped by our local mini dealer just to have a guck look. They had a MCS convertible in Laguna Green on the floor. We bought it off the floor the next day. Yes, no choice of options, no fun of the wait, but we love the car.
Saw the Regional Rep. at my dealership and he said 577 Laguna Green Minis were bought into the United States. That includes all models where Laguna Green was offered. He said there were not a lot of Laguna Green Coupes made.

That makes them almost as rare in the U.S as the GP.
Yeah, I've only ever seen one Coupe on the road in Austin and it was on the main highway so it may not have been local. And Austin's a pretty MINI heavy area.
Same here -- Minneapolis, you can't blink twice without seeing a MINI. A co-worker said he saw another Coupe (black/silver), but I haven't yet come across another one.
