Question Wind noise?

Greating from across the water, I picked up my Cooper S Coupe yesterday and I have an issue... When I drive above 50mph I get a lot of wind noise coming from the top corner of the window, right by my ear. By the time I get to 70mph it sounds as though I have the window open a little or that I've not shut the door properly.

Is anyone else experiencing this? If anyone could take a photo of the seal around their door in this area so I could compare it to mine I'd be very grateful.

Oh also my aux in makes a constant squeak when in use. Apart from those two things I'm very much in love. I'll post up some pics once I work out how to get them from my camera onto here!

On my test drive I didn't have any wind noise... In fact, it was less than my R56. I suggest you talk with the dealer. Maybe get them to go on a test drive with you, etc.

Same for the squeak as well...

So far owners have been commenting how quiet the Coupe is, so you have a seal or trim issue.

There are reports of other MINIs having aux noise, look in:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...and-audio-201/

Have your dealer check both, the dealer/MINI should take care of them on a new car.

Thanks for the replies! I thought it was something I would have read about in reviews if it was a 'characteristic' of the car, but thought I'd just double check. The dealer is giving me a ring tomorrow to check everything is OK as it is, so I'll bring these things up for sure.

So this is what the top corner of the window looks like when the glass is fully up (sorry for the poor quality of the pic, it's well into nighttime here in the UK!). I'm guessing the glass is meant to be flush right into the corner?

Back to the dealer it goes!

More info- I've been looking at pictures from when I first got the car back from the dealer, at that point the window did indeed fit flush all the way into the corner. Somehow over the past day the glass has moved forward about 0.2 of an inch (on both doors!) when in the fully up position.

"quiet as a whistle"??? Isn't a whistle noisy?

Hopefully this is just a one-off problem...but it could end up being one the early-adopter trials.

Been talking to my dealer this morning, they say that their demo coupe has the same issue and I've heard that the coupe at another dealer was the same as well.

I'm going to leave my car at the dealer for the week so they can sort the issue out, well hopefully! Not a huge hardship as I get the train to work during the week, but still pretty annoying.

I was going to give my car a good wax and polish this week, maybe the dealer can get that done for me now since they'll have the car!

Quick update, the dealer adjusted the windows (looks like they have moved back a little and maybe inwards towards the car by a touch). Problem solved. Strange that both side had the same issue, but at least it's been sorted.
